1:a advent 29 November 2009 – Pimp your advent candle-holder.

We bought the cheapest and simplest advent candle-holder we could find and pondered a while. We wanted to pimp it but how? We tried to think about how people usually decorated their advent candle-holders and got images of red stars, glitter and Santas. A traditional decoration according to a formula Christmas X Christmas.

But an advent candle-holder screams Christmas on it’s own it doesn’t need more Christmas added on. So we went to our big jar filled with Lego and got out our glue gun and got started.

This is a theme you can vary any way you like. Take what you have lying around your house and make your own special advent candle-holder.

Here are some ideas of what else you can glue on:

Small scary toy bugs.

Nuts and bolts kinda butch.

Buttons in fun colors.

Kinder egg toys.

Pez dispensers, one for each candle.

1. You need a glue gun an advent candle-holder and Lego.

2. Hands up, warm up your glue gun and press out a big dollop of glue.
