8 Dec – Cookie Monsters

Cookies are nice. And we are brought up to Sesame Street and the Swedish version Svenska Sesam. So what can be better than baking your very own Cookie Monsters? It is easy to bake, and it takes approximately just the same time as going to the supermarket and buy cookies there. The big difference is that in the supermarket you can’t find any cookie monsters.

And here is the recepy:

Ingredients:
4,5-5 dl flour
1 dl sugar
2 tsk vanilla sugar
200 g butter

Garnish:
Jam of your own choice
Smarties or m&m’s or any similar candy

Put the oven at 175 degrees Celsius
Chop together the ingredients and carefully make a dough.
Put the dough somewhere chilly for 30 minutes – 1 hour, like in the fridge or outdoors if it’s winter.
Make small balls of the dough, kind of like mini meat balls.
Put the balls on baking paper on a  oven tray.
Flatten the balls with your hands.
Put your thumb in a good place on every cookie and put about 1/3 of a teaspoon jam in every hole.
Place two Smarties to make eyes.
Then put everything in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

During the time you can make some coffee and invite your neighbors to a Cookie Monster Party!
