Fulkalendern part 3 – 1 Dec
1 December – Word!
Putting words to your thoughts is good but we believe putting words on your surronding is even better. You can word your home, town and your self. Today you get tools to make sentences. And meaning to your life.
Here you can find the stencils we’ve used: Skapa Mening.
1. Here you can find a gallery where we’ve put words to our lives: Bildspel för Skapa Mening
2 You need spray cans, protective gloves, breathing protection, something to spray on and the stencils. You need plastic or cardboard to make your stencils and a knife and also a printer so you can print your stencils. You can find the stencils here: Skapa Mening.
3. Start buy selecting which words you want to use and print and cut them out of either plastic or cardboard. If you use plastic put the printed word under the plastic an carefully follow the lies with your knife. If you use cardboard glue the printed word onto the cardboard and cut thru both the printed paper and the plastic. Then put your finished stencil on whatever you want to spray on. We’ve used pages we’ve torn out of magazines we had in our studio. Spray an even amount of color on to the paper.
4. Carefully lift the stencil from the paper and let dry.
5. Get outside and create sentences out of the words.
6. A Swedish sentence, it reads: Man seeking panic.
7. You can also put words on to a painting.
8. Instead of spray colors you can choose a more environmentally friendly alternative and print on fabric with textile colors. Pour some textile color on a plate and dab a sponge in the color. Use some tape to properly fasten your stencil on the pillowcase. And carefully dab a small amount of color on the pillowcase.
9. Words on a smaller painting.
