Fulkalender part 7 – 5 Dec
5 Dec – Light the darkness
We miss our time at the Street fare in Stockholm. It was where Fuldesign was born. We used to be there all the time selling our t-shirts and everything else we could come up with. The best time of the year was the Christmas market at Street. And today we will revive one of our really big sellers from that time our cup candles.
1. You need paraffin wax, or stumps from old candles, coloring and old pots.
2. You need some kind of container to pour the wax into. Look in your cupboard and take out some old cups or whatever you can find.
3. Pour water into the big pot and wax into the smaller pot. And put the small put in the bigger and put on the burner. Remember to be careful!
4. It’s wick time, attach the bottom of your wick to something metal. We got some screws. And you also need something to tie the wick into on top. We found old IKEA tools that worked perfectly.
5. When your wax has melted put some color into it, a little goes a long way so start of small.
6. We made a spout which made it easier to pour. The spout is made out of cardboard paper.
7. Let set over night.
8. When the wax sets its gonna sink in around the wick and form a hollow there. -When the wax has set, the next day, warm up your remaining wax an carefully fill up the hollow. It makes your candle look “professional”.
9. Cozy and a great Christmas present!
