7 dec – Designer Toys + Party lights
Fuldesign loves designer toys. We’re designer toy junkies and love designer toy sites. We love everything from Gloomy bears and Living Dead Dolls to Munnys. But we’ve got one problem we can’t afford all the toys we want. And we wouldn’t have room for all of them if we could afford them. But there is a really nice solution to that problem “Paper toys”. Paper toys are designer toys you can download print and then put together. It’s an amazing way to get really good design and it’s a fun craft.
For today’s calendar we have combined paper toys and party lights.
1. For our party lights we’ve used Speaker Dog Paper Toys. They all have the same original shape but are designed by very different designers. We are crazy about all of the Speaker Dogs. There is also a blank Speaker Dog if you want to make your own design.
There are loads of great sites out there with paper toys here are a few but feel free to share your own favorites below.
2. You need access to a computer and a printer. You need scissors and/or a knife and glue. We started out using a glue stick but it got a little messy so we got out our glue gun and it worked a lot better. Yeah and you need some party lights.
3. Cut and glue you need to make as many paper toys as there are party lights.
4. Cut a cross in the top of the paper toy and carefully insert the light.
5. Keep working at it until you get all of them done.
6. Our party lights, we’re in love.
