Did you make it with your feet?
One of our past interns Stefan emailed us a while ago telling us to check out Regretsy. Regretsy’s tagline is “Where DIY meets WTF”. That sounds just like Fuldesign. Regretsy prowls around Etsy in search of really regrettable design. A lot of people get upset and belive that Regretsy is bullying Etsy users but I believe Regretsy is so much more. Regretsy shows of liberating design with loads of free an unstructured creativity and the results are really ugly and fantastic.
The site has contest where you can get inspired and create something of your own. The site also has a gallery where you can send a photo of yourself and something you’ve bought at Regretsy. It’s a hit to end up on Regretsy, the chance to get your really ugly stuff at Etys sold are a billion times higher.
Regretsy is created and run by April Winchell, an actress, radio personality and a writer, she operates the site under the pseudonym “Helen Killer”. The book about Regretsy hits Amazon in April.
When can we get at Swedish Regretsy, maybe someone could start the site “Fingerat” with everything ugly on Signerat.
Combine your visit to Regretsy with a visit to Craftfail where you can share your failures. You know the ideas that were really good inside your head but turned out really bad. I really enjoy the descriptions how you start out all confident and thinking this shouldn’t be hard at all and then everything turns out like total shit.
Stefan’s latest tip is the fantastic Edward Cullen pillow. A bed buddy, Are you supposed to put it in the freezer first to get the real Cullen feeling.
We find more goodies like the paintings where the creator have painted while watching different musicals.
Or maybe a giant cock wich as an additional feature can squirts water.
