Moder Svea 19/2-7/4 2009

Moder Svea is an ugly exhibition about what is Swedish presented at   Designgalleriet in Stockholm.

Since we strated Fuldesign four years ago we’ve turned abroad for inspiration and new ideas. We loved Japanese manga and designer toys. We considered Indians to be the best in the world when it came to colors. Wee looked at the world through a veil of American pop culture and believed German gay porn to be a cultural expression to be celebrated and used as an inspiration.

We thought we made Sweden a service by being ugly, since everything Swedish is so clean so good looking, so blond and so boring. It came as a great surprise to us that so much of what me make is genuinely Swedish. We can’t help it we are Swedish and design in Sweden and most of what we have done are stuff that are a new take in traditional Swedish design.

With this in mind we decided to have the exhibition at Designgalleriet be Swedish with the theme Moder Svea (Mother Sweden).
