Fuldesign is a design group based in Stockholm. We have been around since spring of 2005. Fuldesign is design for everyone who is not perfect and does not fit into the artificial total make-over world where you have to have a perfect home, appearance, life and economy to qualify.
Life sucks most of the time. We are trying to tackle this by dragging all the trolls and monsters out into the sun and watch while they burst. We started out designing because we could not find things and designs we wanted, things that reflects the world we live in. Our Fulmonsters are shining examples of this. Each Fulmonster is unique and handmade and has his or her own story, which emerges more or less on its own. The carachters and personalities are usually not very nice or sympathetic.
In spring 2008 we won Design Torget's award "Product of the year 2007", for our embroidery kits which addresses the same forbidden thoughts. With a pinch of dark humour, we have made our own versions of the old-fashioned wall-hanging embroideries with proverbs. These are proverbs who work in our lives. They are inspired by everything from hangovers, gay independence, bad relationships and all the way to Ricki Lake
We ended up in the middle of the Swedish art world almost by accident. We have had multiple exhibtions of Fulmonsters, screen paintings, huge embroideries in exciting new materials, and a lot of
other things.
Humour is our weapon against boring design. We want to have fun while creating and above all we want our design to be more fun than pretentious. We love to make fun of ourselves and the people around us, people in our neighbourhood and life in general.
We know all about sex and Rock n Roll, we are more ignorant when it comes to drugs, We are firmly rooted in popular culture. We love women of a certain age who loves theater and culture, in swedish we call them "Kulturtanter". We love sunday dinners, German gay porn and French baugettes. We read the personals, Wikipedia, Lenore, and text-tv. We watch sci-fi, zombie movies, Xena, Lost and Debbie Travis.
We love working with others, that is how ideas are born and develop. We like to sharing and believes that by giving we get more back. Most of all, we would like to design the interior of a passenger aircraft. Seats, trays, signs uniforms and everything else. Bang how neat it would be.

Fuldesigns history
Vi började med 40 handtryckta tröjor, ett bord på Streetmarknaden och en idé om att vi ville göra Stockholms tröjutbud roligare, snyggare och billigare. Vi tyckte det saknades kläder och prylar som vi själva skulle vilja köpa. Ett besök i konstnärsaffären och lite påläsning om screentryck senare och vi var igång, friskt påhejade av nära och kära. Hur svårt kan det vara?
De 40 tröjorna blev fler, bättre och snyggare och nya idéer föddes. Babykläder, Fulmonster, egendesignade pins, örhängen, broderikit och magneter kom till och blev en stående del av Fuldesign. Även formgivning av webbsidor, affischer, cd-konvolut och bokomslag är nu en del av det vi gör. Varför begränsa sig när man kan se möjligheterna?
Svensk Form upptäckte oss tidigt och deras beröm och engagemang inspirerade oss och gjorde oss modiga. Sen har DesignTorget, House of Oslo, QX-shoppen, 111vox, Hallongrottan, Herr Judit, Miss Juniversum med många fler följt i spåren. Street har följt med oss genom åten vi finns fortafarande där vid speciella tillfällen. Vi har även varit mer engagerade i själva arrangemanget på Street med allt från livemusik och dj-spelningar till pysselhörnor för barnen på marknaden. Vi har även synts i fler sammanhang; under Sexdagarna på Stockholms Universitet, på Hantverksmarknaden på Hultsfredsfestivalen, i Pride Park under Pridefestivalen med mera.

Everything is hand made
We make everything ourselves. We silk screen the t-shirts and babyclothes by hand using environment-friendly colors. All the Fulmonsters are handmade and designed by us. We make all the earrings, magnets and pins. We sell our stuff on the Street in Stockholm market. And its us you will get answers from when you send us an email. We also have wonderful people helping us; Gunilla helps us a lot with our embroidery kits, be sure to look up her collection of poems, Fuldesign designed the book covers. Rasmus has been involved from the start modelling clothes, sewing world record dolls and selling stuff. Pelle has been both a model and sales person. Melinda and Iki are gourgeous models. Martin is not only a guest designer but also helps out answering tricky questions about Indesign and big print jobs. From our guest designer Ingrid we get cool 70's fabrics and sewingt tips. Horst helps us with all fabric related problems. Alva and Tuva model children's clothing.
